- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by placing it in the bottom of your crockpot.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken, and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve once the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
This dish pairs wonderfully with pasta, garlic bread, or a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
