- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Transfer to jars and refrigerate.
Notes
You can prepare the ingredients the night before and set the slow cooker to cook in the morning. Feel free to swap out half the sugar for honey for a more natural sweetness.
