Description

A comforting casserole made with shredded chicken, stuffing, and a creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 6 oz stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 10.5 oz can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, stuffing mix, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, frozen mixed vegetables, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir until well combined and the mixture binds together but stays soft.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and smooth the top.
  5. If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
  7. Let it rest for five minutes before serving.

Notes

For a slow-cooked method, assemble in a crock pot and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
