- 1 tsp red food coloring
- Powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, blending until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place dough balls on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. You can microwave for a few seconds to refresh them.
