Description

A creamy, tangy Southern classic that brings family together, perfect for gatherings or a simple snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 oz jar diced pimentos (drained)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Fold the mayonnaise into the cheese mixture until creamy.
  3. Stir in the drained diced pimentos.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, and optional cayenne pepper. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use freshly shredded cheese and allow the pimento cheese to sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
