Ingredients

- 1 ham bone
- 2 cups potatoes, diced
- 2 cups cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 celery stalks, sliced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté the onions, carrots, and celery until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Place the ham bone in the pot along with the chicken broth and potatoes.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove the ham bone, shred any meat, and return it to the pot.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
