Ingredients

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup pastel sprinkles or colored sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each ball with pastel sprinkles or colored sugar.
  6. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
