- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, then add the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Add the dry stuff: Sprinkle in the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gently stir until just combined.
- Prep your crockpot: Spray the inside with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- Pour it in: Carefully pour the batter into the crockpot, filling it halfway.
- Cover and cook: Place the lid on and set to low for about 3 hours.
- Check for doneness: Insert a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean. If not, cook an additional 15 to 30 minutes.
- Cool down: Lift out the bread, let it rest for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
