Description

A comforting casserole featuring tender egg noodles, browned beef, and a creamy sour cream sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Set a rack in the middle.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  5. Combine the cooked beef mixture, drained noodles, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper in a large bowl. Fold gently.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Leftovers taste even better the next day; store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
