Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the diced apples.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  9. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, rolled oats, and melted butter to create the streusel topping.
  10. Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the batter.
  11. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  12. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
