Description

A comforting, family-approved dish combining tender chicken, honey mustard, crispy bacon, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms (sliced, optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. In a baking dish, place the chicken breasts.
  5. Spread honey mustard over each chicken breast.
  6. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it over the chicken.
  7. Sprinkle cheese and mushrooms (if using) on top.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispy bacon, consider reserving some for topping after baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
