A simple and forgiving recipe for homemade bread made in a slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix until even.
- Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased crockpot.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.
- Once done, take the bread out and let it cool before slicing.
Notes
If the top is too pale, pop it under a broiler for a minute to brown. Store leftovers wrapped in a towel and a plastic bag, or freeze sliced for later use.
