Ingredients

- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 bunch kale, chopped
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings in the pot.
- Add the sausage to the pot and cook until browned.
- Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
- Add the diced potatoes and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Stir in the chopped kale and return the cooked bacon.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving hot.
Notes
Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve with crusty bread or a simple salad for a complete meal.
