A delightful sweet treat made with Chex cereal, toffee, and optional nuts, perfect for busy family nights.
Ingredients

- 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the brown sugar until combined and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the Chex cereal into a large bowl and drizzle the butter mixture over it, gently folding until all pieces are coated.
- Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
If using salted butter, it will still work fine. Feel free to add mini chocolate chips or dried fruit for extra flavor and color.
