- 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce (about 18 oz)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil until smooth.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot.
- Pour the BBQ mixture over the chicken, coating each piece evenly.
- Cover and cook on Low for 4–6 hours or High for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken using two forks, then stir to mix with the sauce.
- Serve warm over rice, on sandwich buns, or with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For a tangier flavor, replace apple cider vinegar with Dijon mustard if desired. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
