- 1 cup crushed hard candy (various colors)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully integrated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the cookie dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough.
- Remove the centers of the shapes using smaller cookie cutters.
- Place the cookie shapes on a baking sheet and fill the centers with crushed hard candy.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the candy has melted.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
