- 8 cups fresh apple cider
- 4 cups cranberry juice (100% juice recommended)
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 oranges, sliced
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 8 whole cloves
- 1–2 star anise (optional)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1–2 allspice berries (optional)
Instructions
- Pour the apple cider and cranberry juice into your slow cooker.
- Add the fresh cranberries, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
- Stir in brown sugar or maple syrup to taste.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 3 hours.
- If serving right away, switch to warm mode when guests arrive.
- Remove spices before serving and ladle into mugs.
Notes
Garnish with extra cranberries, a cinnamon stick, or a slice of orange for added flair. For an adult version, add a splash of spiced rum or bourbon.
