- 2 pounds potatoes, sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: herbs or seasonings of choice
Instructions
- In the slow cooker, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until browned; season with salt and pepper.
- Layer the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes in the slow cooker.
- Add the remaining sliced potatoes on top of the beef.
- Pour the beef broth over everything.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the cheese over the top and let it melt.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use real butter for enhanced flavor. Choose Yukon Gold or red potatoes that hold their shape. Add a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce for deeper flavor.
