Ingredients

- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
- Rice or pasta (for serving)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic (fresh or powdered, optional)
- 1 packet onion soup mix (optional)
- Black pepper, to taste
- A splash of vinegar or lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, and Italian herbs in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is tender.
- Serve over rice or pasta with the sauce.
Notes
Leftovers taste even better the next day. To reheat, cover and warm gently on the stovetop or microwave.
