A comforting dish that strikes a balance between simplicity and indulgence, featuring pan-seared chicken in a creamy lemon garlic sauce over linguine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thick bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 14 oz linguine
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.75 cups heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 cups freshly grated Parmesan
  • 0.5 tsp white pepper
  • 0.75 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and parsley, stirring to combine and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. In another large pot, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. Melt 3 tbsp of butter in the same pot over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and cream cheese until smooth and well combined.
  9. Add Parmesan, white pepper, and salt, stirring until cheese is melted and the sauce thickens.
  10. Toss in the cooked linguine and combine well, coating evenly.
  11. Serve the creamy linguine topped with lemon garlic butter chicken and garnish as desired.

Notes

For the best flavor, use real butter and freshly grated Parmesan. This dish can be made ahead and tastes even better the next day.
