- 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for baking, or heat oil in a pan over medium heat for frying.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties.
- If baking, place puffs on a greased baking sheet and spray tops with cooking spray. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- If frying, gently place puffs in hot oil and fry until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
Notes
You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
