Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Cream the softened butter and both sugars together for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and pecans.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden edges and slightly underdone centers.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
