Description

Comforting and buttery Homemade Garlic Knots, perfect for sharing around the family table.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (105–110°F)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let it foam for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a rope. Tie into knots.
  5. Let knots rise for 15–20 minutes.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, and salt.
  8. Brush warm knots generously with garlic butter.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or wrapped tightly and refrigerated for up to 5 days.
