Description

A rich and creamy delight perfect for spreading on scones, fresh bread, or fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pints heavy cream (avoid ultra-pasteurized cream for best results)

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 180°F (82°C).
  2. Pour the cream into a casserole dish, filling it about 1-3 inches up the sides.
  3. Set the dish uncovered in the oven and leave it undisturbed for 12 hours.
  4. After 12 hours, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool, then cover it and refrigerate.
  5. Once cooled overnight, scoop the thickened cream into jars and store in the refrigerator.
  6. Enjoy spreading it on scones or with fresh fruit.

Notes

Patience is key; the cream will thicken overnight. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
