Quick and delightful churro bites made healthier with almond and coconut flour, prepared in an air fryer for a crispy, guilt-free treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sweetener (like erythritol)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray
  • Additional cinnamon and sweetener for coating

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together almond flour, coconut flour, sweetener, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add applesauce and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Form dough into small bite-sized pieces or balls.
  5. Place them in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with cooking spray, and cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a small bowl, mix additional cinnamon and sweetener.
  7. Once cooked, immediately toss churro bites in the cinnamon-sweetener mixture.
