Description

A slow cooker comfort meal featuring smoky sausage, tender potatoes, and fresh green beans in a savory broth.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Small Baby Potatoes (or 78 cups diced red or russet potatoes)
  • 12 ounces Smoky Sausage (smoked or turkey sausage)
  • 1 pound Fresh Green Beans (or canned/frozen)
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix (or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 4 cups Beef Broth (or chicken/vegetable broth)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (cut into small pats)

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes and sausage: Wash baby potatoes and cut large ones in half. Slice the sausage into bite-size coins.
  2. Layer the slow cooker: Place potatoes in the bottom, add sausage, sprinkle ranch and Cajun seasoning on top.
  3. Pour in the broth: Add beef broth until everything is almost covered. Stir gently.
  4. Set and forget: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Add green beans: In the last 30-45 minutes, stir in green beans.
  6. Finish with butter: Dot the top with butter, cover for 5 minutes to melt, then stir.
  7. Taste and adjust: Add salt, pepper, or more Cajun seasoning to taste.
  8. Serve family-style: Scoop into bowls or platters and let everyone dig in.

Notes

Leftovers taste even better as the flavors deepen. Store in airtight containers for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months without butter.
