Description
A comforting and easy recipe for crack chicken made in a slow cooker, perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 block cream cheese (8 ounces)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crock pot. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix over the chicken.
- Add the cream cheese on top of the ranch seasoning.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once the chicken is cooked, shred it using two forks and mix everything in the pot.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon; let it melt.
- Serve on buns, over rice, or as desired, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
If you accidentally buy salted butter, it still works. If you use chicken thighs instead of breasts, expect a slightly richer texture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
