Description

A simple, Southern slow-cooker candy that combines chocolate and peanuts to create a delightful treat perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 ounces) salted peanuts
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) unsalted peanuts
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bar (8 ounces) German chocolate baking bar
  • 1/3 cup (79 g) peanut butter chips
  • 2 packages (24 ounces each) white almond bark
  • Sprinkles, for garnish (optional)
  • Sea salt, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, layer the salted peanuts, unsalted peanuts, chocolate chips, German chocolate, peanut butter chips, and almond bark.
  2. Cover with the lid and set the slow cooker to low heat.
  3. Let melt for 1–2 hours, stirring once halfway through.
  4. After fully melted, stir well to combine all ingredients into a smooth mixture.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to dollop heaping tablespoons onto the sheet.
  7. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  8. Store in airtight containers using parchment paper between layers.

Notes

Use real butter if you can, it gives that Sunday flavor. If you prefer a sweeter bite, add a bit more white almond bark. For a salty-sweet finish, sprinkle a light touch of sea salt on top.
