Description
A comforting recipe for salmon with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry.
- Lay them skin-side down on a clean towel and press gently to remove extra moisture.
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the glaze. Stir until the honey dissolves a little and the chopped garlic is evenly distributed.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon skin-side down for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
- Press each fillet gently with a spatula to keep the skin touching the pan for a steady crisp.
- Flip the fillets, brush half of the glaze on top, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature of 145°F).
- Drizzle remaining glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
- Let the salmon rest for a minute so the glaze settles and the juices redistribute.
Notes
For a lighter flavor, use low-sodium broth. Add red pepper flakes for heat or lemon for brightness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to one month.
