Description
A comforting slow-cooked dish made with shredded chicken, creamy sauce, and tender pasta, perfect for cozy family meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups uncooked pasta
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot, laying them flat.
- Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, spooning the soup around and over the chicken.
- Stir to combine the ingredients gently.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, checking tenderness after 6 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- Once the chicken is cooked, shred it in the crockpot.
- Stir in the cooked pasta and shredded cheese if using, and let it warm through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Adjust tenderness after cooking the chicken to prevent it from drying out. For creamier texture, consider a mix of cream of chicken and cream of mushroom. Use low-sodium broth for a lighter flavor.
