- 1 cup boiling water

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt cake pan.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Carefully stir in boiling water and chocolate chips (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
- Top with chocolate ganache or icing before serving.

This cake can be stored covered at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, refrigerate if topped with perishable ingredients or freeze for up to three months.
