Deliciously sweet and spicy nuts made effortlessly in a slow cooker, perfect for snacking or gifting during the holidays.
Ingredients

- 3 cups mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, cashews, walnuts)
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Toss the nuts with the egg white in a large bowl until lightly sticky.
- Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cayenne, and salt. Stir until well coated.
- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray, then add the nut mixture.
- Keep the heat low and crack the lid to prevent steaming. Stir every 30 to 45 minutes.
- Cook for 2 to 3 hours until the nuts are crispy.
- Spread the cooked nuts onto parchment or foil to cool completely before storing.
- Package in jars or bags for gifting or store in an airtight container.
Notes
For a gifted version, use cellophane bags or jars, and include a handwritten tag with the recipe.
