Ingredients

- 1 lb beef steak (such as flank steak)
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hoagie rolls
- Provolone cheese or Cheez Whiz
Instructions
- Place the beef steak in the crockpot, laying it flat.
- Add the sliced bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms on top.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks, mixing it with the vegetables and broth.
- Serve on hoagie rolls topped with provolone cheese or Cheez Whiz.
Notes
For extra richness, add a pat of butter inside the roll before toasting. Feel free to adjust the pepper quantity or add hot sauce for some heat.
