- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and transfer to the crockpot.
- Add potatoes, onion, carrots, and celery to the crockpot.
- Pour in beef broth and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 4-5 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese.
- Allow to heat through, then serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter flavor, use low-sodium broth. Adjust seasoning at both the start and end of cooking.
