- 2 cups of milk
- 1 pound of breakfast sausage
- 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 4 cups of diced bread (like French bread or hash browns)
- 1 cup of chopped vegetables (like bell peppers, onions, or spinach)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Use a wooden spoon to break it into small bits.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In the slow cooker, layer diced bread, cooked sausage, chopped vegetables, and cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layers.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the eggs are set.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat by warming in the oven or microwave.
