- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 packet Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 pound angel hair pasta
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot in a single layer.
- Make the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the Italian dressing mix, golden mushroom soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add Sauce to Crockpot: Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Cook: Cover and cook on the low setting for 4 to 5 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked through.
- Cook the Pasta: About 15 minutes before the chicken is done, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Serve: Plate the cooked angel hair pasta and top with a chicken breast and sauce from the crockpot.
Notes
Feel free to add herbs or vegetables for extra flavor. Leftovers can be refrigerated and often taste better the next day.
