- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in cream and stir to deglaze the pan.
- Add Parmesan and simmer until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to heat through and coat with sauce.
- Spoon sauce over each breast and finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Use real butter for better flavor and freshly grated Parmesan for a silkier sauce. Tip: Save leftovers to deepen flavors overnight.
