- 4 boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 4 oz cream cheese (optional)
- Grated parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a pan over medium-high heat, sear the chicken on both sides until browned.
- Place chicken in the crock pot.
- In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, minced garlic, and cream cheese, then pour over the chicken.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.
- Stir the sauce and top with grated parmesan before serving.
Notes
Searing the chicken adds flavor and keeps it juicy. You can use half-and-half or Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream for a lighter option. Various herbs and vegetables can be added for variations.
