- 1 package of pre-made pastry dough
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 egg (beaten with 1 tablespoon water) for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pastry dough and fit it into a greased baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, orange zest, and mini chocolate chips until well combined.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the pastry dough.
- Fold over any excess dough from the edges and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes
For best results, use whole-milk ricotta and real vanilla extract. These enhance the flavor and texture of the filling.
