- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 package of phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Assemble the phyllo dough: Layer several sheets, brushing each with melted butter.
- Cut the layered dough into squares and place in a greased baking pan.
- Spoon the ricotta mixture into the center of each square, fold the edges over to cover, and brush with more butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool and dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
For a creamier filling, use whole milk ricotta. You can add lemon zest for a citrusy twist or sprinkle pistachios for added texture.
