Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra cookie crumbles for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the mixture, then gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread melted butter, cinnamon, crushed chocolate cookies, and mini chocolate chips over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into individual rolls.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 22-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the icing over the warm rolls and top with extra cookie crumbles.
