Description

Delightful cookies adorned with Hershey’s kisses, embodying the warmth of home and family traditions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 50 g natural cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 115 g unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 30 g granulated sugar
  • 30 g sprinkles
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 24 Hershey’s kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and pale, about three minutes. Add the brown sugar and continue to cream until light and fluffy.
  4. Crack the egg and pour in the vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until combined.
  6. Scoop about 1-1.5 tablespoons of cookie dough and roll it into a ball.
  7. Roll the dough ball in granulated sugar, sprinkles, or powdered sugar. Place on the lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
  8. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Unwrap the Hershey’s kisses while they bake.
  9. Remove cookies from the oven and press a Hershey’s kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for about a week and still taste great. For a twist, try using caramel-filled chocolates instead of Hershey’s kisses.
