Description
Delightful cookies adorned with Hershey’s kisses, embodying the warmth of home and family traditions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g natural cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 115 g unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
- 100 g brown sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 30 g granulated sugar
- 30 g sprinkles
- 30 g powdered sugar
- 24 Hershey’s kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and pale, about three minutes. Add the brown sugar and continue to cream until light and fluffy.
- Crack the egg and pour in the vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until combined.
- Scoop about 1-1.5 tablespoons of cookie dough and roll it into a ball.
- Roll the dough ball in granulated sugar, sprinkles, or powdered sugar. Place on the lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes. Unwrap the Hershey’s kisses while they bake.
- Remove cookies from the oven and press a Hershey’s kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for about a week and still taste great. For a twist, try using caramel-filled chocolates instead of Hershey’s kisses.
