Description

Delightful cookies combining butterscotch and chocolate for a comforting treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, beating well until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the butterscotch and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, underbake slightly and let them finish cooking on the baking sheet.
