Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For a variation, consider adding nutmeg or ginger. Serve with whipped cream or caramel sauce for added indulgence.
